A few things to know before using Prefs.

About Prefs

Prefs is an app from Poolsuite Company for keeping track of personal preferences and planning around the people you care about. These terms cover this website and the current early-access app. Questions? Email hey@prefs.club.

A memory aid, not medical advice

Prefs shows information entered by you or shared with you. It does not diagnose allergies, verify medical information, or guarantee that a meal, ingredient, restaurant or preparation method is safe.

Confirm important requirements directly with the person and the people preparing the food. Take professional medical advice where needed, and do not rely on Prefs in an emergency.

Your information, your choices

Only record and share information you have permission to use. Keep it accurate and up to date, and respect other people’s privacy—especially where children, health information or beliefs are involved. You remain responsible for choosing which details to share and with whom.

Your entries remain yours. The current app stores them locally on your device. Keep appropriate device backups; uninstalling the app or losing your device may mean losing local data. A shared image or text card is a snapshot, not a live record.

Early access

Prefs is still being developed. Features may change and errors or interruptions may occur. Public accounts, cloud backup and paid memberships are not currently available. Any future paid service will show its price and terms before you choose to buy it.

Using the service fairly

Don’t use Prefs to harass people, collect information unlawfully, infringe others’ rights or interfere with the service’s security. The Prefs name, artwork and app design belong to their respective rights holders; using the app does not transfer those rights to you.

Privacy

Our privacy notice explains the current service’s data handling. Before optional cloud features become available, we’ll explain the relevant data choices. These terms are not consent to process sensitive information.

Your legal rights

Nothing here removes consumer rights you have under applicable law or excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. Prefs should be used with appropriate care, alongside direct confirmation of important food requirements.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as Prefs develops. We’ll highlight material changes affecting your use of the service. For support or questions, contact hey@prefs.club.
